Meet Danielle McPartlin
Hey hey! I’m Danielle, and I am so excited to Whip It Up with you! I’m a Midwest girl from Quincy, Illinois, so comfort food runs deep in my roots—but I’ve made it my mission to keep those feel-good flavors while making meals healthier and easier for busy families. As a mom of two always-hungry athlete boys and a husband who never knows when he’ll need to take his shirt off for a role, keeping healthy, delicious meals on hand is a must in my house. I’m the founder of Plate Therapy and a self-taught cook who became an expert at meal prep out of pure necessity. I also have two autoimmune conditions—Hashimoto’s and Vitiligo—so eating clean isn’t just a choice for me; it’s a way of life. We can’t wait to share our favorite recipes (and so much more!) with you. Let’s Whip It Up together and make mealtime easy, fun, and absolutely delicious!

I’ve worn many hats in my career—dancer, actor, and photographer—but I would never call myself a chef or even a home cook. Every time I stepped into a grocery store, I found myself spinning in circles, asking the same dreaded question: “WTF am I going to cook for dinner tonight?” As a mom of two hungry boys, I relied too much on fast food, spent too much money on last-minute grocery trips, and constantly felt lost when it came to feeding my family. Thankfully, I have the most supportive husband (who happens to love burnt bread and bacon), but I knew something had to change. That’s when my bestie, Danielle, stepped in. She taught me the magic of meal planning, prepping, and getting organized in the kitchen. It was a total game-changer! I jumped at the chance to help her share all this valuable knowledge with you because I know firsthand how overwhelming dinner time can be. I’m still learning every day, and I can’t wait to share tips, tricks, and plenty of laughs with you.
